Road Safety Education

  1. Before the journey

    • Plan your route and allow enough time.
    • Check lights, tyres and mirrors.
    • Make sure you are rested and fit to drive.

  2. On the road

    • Keep your full attention on the road — put the phone away.
    • Adapt speed to road, traffic and weather conditions.
    • Keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
    • Never drive after drinking alcohol or taking substances that impair you.

  3. Motorcyclists

    • Wear a certified helmet and protective clothing.
    • Make yourself visible to other road users.
    • Anticipate the actions of other vehicles.

  4. Pedestrians and cyclists

    • Cross at designated crossings where available.
    • Wear visible or reflective clothing in low light.
    • Cyclists: use lights at night and signal clearly.
